I've created two courses-- one for the Law and Ethics Exam, one for the CCE. Each course is like being in an online workshop with me! I lecture with animated power point slides, demonstrating strategies with practice questions. I explain exam-relevant facts and concepts. You can download the slides to study later. Use the COURSES tab to rent a complete course for $100 for 30 days. RENT A COURSE AND GET AN HOUR OF COACHING, FREE! You can also rent individual videos, $25 for two days of viewing.

There's a tab for WEBINARS if I have anything scheduled.

Clinical Evaluation on the California MFT Clinical Exam
This one hour training video reviews DSM5 diagnoses likely to be tested. Other important aspects of Clinical Evaluation identified in the BBS Exam Plan are also discussed. Practice questions and strategies are included
How Theory Shows up on the California Clinical Exam
This video explains all five categories of theory identified in the BBS examination plan. Goals, interventions, and the role of the therapist are discussed, with clinical examples and practice questions. For non-theoretical considerations in the Treatment Planning and Treatment domains of the exam, I suggest my "General Issues" training video.
General Issues in Treatment Planning and Treatment
It's not all about theory. Many questions about setting goals and intervening with clients do not include theoretical orientation at all! This training video discusses non-theory related exam tasks such as "maintaining therapeutic relationship with client to facilitate treatment," and "formulating a treatment plan within an evidence-based context." Practice questions and strategies are included.
CCE: LawEthicsReview
Even though you've passed the Law and Ethics exam, you no doubt need  a comprehensive review of all the topics in the LAW and ETHICS domains on the California Clinical Exam. This training reviews everything from mandated breaches of confidentiality to telehealth laws to contradictions between CAMFT and AAMFT ethical standards. A few practice questions are included to illustrate those strange "manage the impact" task statements in the BBS' Examination plan.
What to Expect on the Law and Ethics Exam: an Overview
Basic description of the exam process. Task statements from the BBS Examination Plan. Do you need to distinguish between LAW and ETHICS domains? Sample questions. Procedures at the exam site. How to use your scratch paper to keep track of time. How to use PrepJet for effective preparation.
Confidentiality and Privileged Communication on the Law and Ethics Exam
This hour long video reviews critical topics: legally required and permitted breaches of client confidentiality, holder of privilege, exceptions to privilege, records and access to records. Practice questions and strategies are included.
Laws and Ethical Issues Affecting the Treatment of Minors
For the Law and Ethics exam, you need to be familiar with laws regarding emancipation of minors, treatment of minors with and without parental consent, access to records when minors are involved, and other important issues. This training video includes practice questions and strategies.
Review of Ethics, Part 1
I review basic ethical standards from both CAMFT and AAMFT that are likely to be tested on the exam. Practice questions and strategies are included. This training video should be viewed in conjunction with Ethics, Part 2, which focuses on topics where LAW is also explicitly involved.
Review of Law and Ethics for Law and Ethics Exam, Part 2
This training continues reviewing CAMFT and AAMFT ethical standards that are relevant for the California Law and Ethics examination. The emphasis is on topics which are also delineated in the LAW domain, such as scope of practice and competence, advertising, and telehealth.
